Lauren Sesselmann

Lauren Sesselmann was born on 14 August, 1983 in Marshfield, Wisconsin. She is a Canadian (American-born) soccer defender and Olympic medalist. Currently she is playing for Houston Dash. They are competing in the National Women's Soccer League. Beside this, she plays for the Canadian national team. This athlete is widely known for her Fit as a Pro with Lauren Sesselmann, Fitness DVD program.

At her early age, Sesselmann started playing basketball and soccer at the Notre Dame Academy in Green Bay. During her youth career, she played for: Notre Dame Academy (1997-2000) and Purdue Boilermakers (2001-2005). During her senior career, she played for: Steel City Sparks (2004), F.C. Indiana (2007-2008), Sky Blue FC (2009), Atlanta Beat (2010-2011) and FC Kansas City (2013). Since 2011, Sesselmann has played for the Canadian national team. During her time at the Purdue University, she set 6 records for the Boilermakers. These records were in: game-winning goals, multiple-goal games, points, assists, goals and shots on goal.

Lauren acquired Canadian citizenship through her father (he is from Newfoundland) in 2010. Her first two matches were friendly, against the United States. On September 2011, she won her first cap as a starter at left back. For the 2011 Pan American Games in Guadalajara, Sesselmann was named to the 18 player Canadian squad. She was responsible for gold medal that Canada won!
Her Fitness DVD program, Fit as a Pro with Lauren Sesselmann, is a very popular and according to many reviews, very useful. She has an impressive sports career, so, this was the perfect way to share her workout techniques to other people.
